We take great care that our amazing pups are placed in the right “forever” home.   As a specialized boutique breeder, we do everything possible to make the best match between our puppy and its new family.   We want you to be happy with your new family member, and we want our puppy to thrive in their new home.  To that end we ask that you mail (or email) us the following information to begin the process of adopting one of our amazing pups.   The completed application is the first step.   Please completely read this application before contacting us with any questions.  Thank you.

General Information:  


The following applies to all GMAL pups:

   

    All puppies sold as Pet/Companions may be de-sexed at 7-8 weeks of age  

    First Health check will be done by the Green Mountain’s veterinarian,

    Given age appropriate vaccinations

    Dewormed prior to adoption

    Microchip ID for permanent identification

    Litter and puppy registration with the ALAA or ALCA

    You will receive GMAL’s extended ongoing support. 

    Puppies may go to their new homes no earlier than 8 weeks of age.  

 

    Genetic Health Guarantee for 2 years from date of birth - It is your responsibility to

    have your new puppy examined by your veterinarian within 3 days of taking

    possession in order to activate your Genetic Health Guarantee, the Pet Adoption Agreement will have

    specifics as other conditions apply.


Adoption Fee is $3000.00 with pick up at our home, (plus sales tax Vt Residents)

(Special Delivery at an additional costs can be arranged on a case by case basis)



THE ADOPTION PROCESS


When we have received and reviewed your application, we will call you or email you with any questions and discuss the process of adopting a GMAL pup.


After confirmation and acceptance of your application a deposit of $500.00 should be sent to secure your placement to receive a GMAL pup.  The balance of $2500 will be due 2 weeks before delivery.  Before or at puppy placement a contract will then be issued.   Please note: Vermont residents or local delivery will be charged Sales Tax of 6%.   Receipt of application and deposit does not guarantee puppy placement.


We must receive your completed application and deposit to be considered for a GMAL puppy. 

  

No puppy visits are done during the first six weeks of age - this is for many reasons including the health of our puppies and Moms.  (Sorry, no exceptions, please don’t ask).   


“Puppy pick weekend” is determined at date of birth (it is approximately at week 7) and “the pick order” is determined by the date of accepted complete applications, date of received deposits, and at the sole discretion of GMAL.  


Delivery date and arrangements are decided based on puppy readiness.   Delays to picking up your new puppy from the scheduled pick up date will incur additional costs.  


The Pet Adoption Agreement and fees must be submitted and paid in full no later than 10 days prior to pick up.
